With just weeks to go, final selections for Olympic teams are continuing to be made, with Belgium becoming the latest team to announce their final roster for Paris 2024.
The team is led by the recent Luhmühlen CCI5* winner Lara de Liederkerke MeyerThe win was Belgium's first historic five-star victory and a huge boost of confidence for the team heading to Paris.
The full names of the teams are:
Lara de Liederkerke Meyer and Origi, A 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding owned by Johan Vankelschever
Direct reserve horse: Hoonie Darville and Hermione Darvill
Karin Donkers and Leipheimer van Welerhofa 13-year-old Belgian Warmblood stallion owned by Joris de Brabandel
Tyne Magnus and Kingdom of Light Z10-year-old Zangerscheide mare owned by Chris Van Varenberg and Tine Magnus
Mobile reserve: Cyril Gavrilovich and Hermundo de GascoRyder's 10-year-old Self-Français gelding
Non-moving substitute:
First Reserve: Karin Donkers and Fletcher van 't Verahof
Second Reserve: Maarten Boon and Glavin Van Cantos
With an increasingly strong squad in recent times, Paris 2024 could be a huge success for Belgium and team trainer Kai Steffen-Meyer will be doing everything in his power to bring home a medal.
