Boxing legend Butterbean has hinted at a possible return to the ring after pitching the idea of a new pay-per-view that would include Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
Former super heavyweight star Butterbean has revealed he is considering an unexpected return to boxing.
Butterbean, whose real name is Eric Esch, rose to fame in the '90s for his distinctive look and knockout power. The 57-year-old Butterbean fought his final boxing bout in 2013, retiring with a record of 77 wins, 10 losses and 4 draws. During his prime, he also competed in mixed martial arts, kickboxing and professional wrestling.
Butterbean became extremely overweight after hanging up the gloves, at one point weighing in at over 515 pounds (around 36 stone), but he has since undergone an incredible physical transformation and is now mulling a return to the ring as part of a unique idea involving US presidential candidates Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
Butterbean, who posted a video of the US election debate on TikTok, suggested a better way to resolve differences: “If we really want to do something positive instead of fighting over each other, here's my idea. [golf] Donald Trump vs Joe Biden driving contest, [army veterans].
“It's a genius idea, without a second thought. It's going to bring in a lot of money for our veterans. Come on, Donald, Joe, let's go. Hit the ball. Let's see who can hit it the farthest.”
At the end of the video, Butterbean added, “If anyone wants to put together a pay-per-view, I'll fight on the undercard!” In the comments section, Esch wrote: [the] “Best shape ever.”
Butterbean's weight loss journey began with the help of former WWE star and now famous yoga instructor Diamond Dallas Page. Last year, Butterbean publicly revealed on social media that she weighed 21.7 stone (303.8 lbs) and lost 15 stone (212 lbs) during an 18-month program with DDP.

His incredible transformation is down to Butterbean adopting a gluten- and dairy-free diet and eating a low-carb, high-protein meal. The extent of his weight loss has even qualified Esch for hip surgery. Since getting back in shape, he's challenged the likes of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, but is yet to lace up the gloves.
Asked about Biden and Trump stepping into the ring as part of a pay-per-view idea, Butterbean said: “That would be fun, but it would be great to get money for everyone who served in the military.”
