Colorado Springs, Colorado – TNT Sports and the Mountain West Conference have entered into a multi-year agreement to exclusively broadcast every live college football game this season on truTV and Max. truTV and Max will broadcast 14 Mountain West college football games during the inaugural season, beginning with San Jose State hosting Sacramento State on Thursday, August 29 at 7pm PST.
The first Saturday game to air on truTV and Max will be two days later at 5pm PST when San Diego State hosts Texas A&M-Commerce.
truTV and Max will broadcast four Saturday MW doubleheaders, including September 7th, 14th, 21st and October 12th, as well as solo games on October 5th, 19th, 26th and November 2nd.
“TNT Sports provides the Mountain West with a third national television partner that will showcase the outstanding student-athletes from across the league,” said Mountain West Commissioner Gloria Nevarez. “TNT Sports has always been a leader in sports broadcasting, and adding one of the top FBS conferences to our lineup will undoubtedly be a benefit to the Mountain West and college football fans across the nation.”
The show adds additional live sports programming to truTV and Max, which launched dedicated TNT Sports primetime programming earlier this year, and also marks the return of college football to TNT Sports after not showing a game since 2006.
“We are excited to partner with the Mountain West to bring these compelling college football games to truTV and Max,” said Rafael Poplock, senior vice president of acquisitions, business development and partnerships for TNT Sports. “This agreement further expands our live sports programming on truTV while providing greater exposure for the Mountain West and its student-athletes across TNT Sports' platforms.”
More details regarding TNT Sports' coverage of Mountain West college football will be announced prior to the start of the season.
The additional broadcast slate complements MW's previously announced 49-game national television package on the CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network, FOX and FOX Network.
Additional broadcasts by Spectrum Sports (Hawaii) and regional/local/school broadcasts will be announced in the coming weeks.
