Twenty-eight student-athletes are scheduled to participate in this year's kickoff, which will be held in Arlington for the second consecutive year. A media session begins Monday at 2 p.m. CST, followed by a press conference with 14 head coaches on Tuesday morning. Results of American's preseason media survey will be released at 8 a.m. CST (9 a.m. ET), and commissioner Tim Pernetti will offer comments at 8:15 a.m. CST (9:15 a.m. ET) on Tuesday.
In addition to Tuesday's press conference, student-athletes and coaches can participate in breakout sessions at designated times on Tuesday and by request during scheduled times on Monday afternoon.
And for the first time, The American will invite fans to its annual event marking the opening of the college football season.
A limited number of fans will be able to experience the 2024 kickoff in person and have unprecedented access to players and coaches. Fans will have the opportunity to sit in on press conferences, participate in photo ops and enjoy interactions with student-athletes and coaches.

Live coverage of the American Kickoff will air on Tuesday, July 22 at 9 a.m. ET with Morgan Oeber, Rene Ingoglia, Taylor McHargue and Brooke Kirchhofer interviewing coaches and student-athletes from all 14 teams. ESPN+ will air this coverage as well as a second feed featuring full-length press conferences with the head coaches.

UNT football's home opener is against Stephen F. Austin at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 7. The Mean Green football team has six home games this year, hosting Wyoming (Sept. 21), Tulsa (Sept. 28), Tulane (Oct. 26), Army (Nov. 9) and East Carolina (Nov. 23) in addition to the SFA home opener.
