A number of notable names in the boxing world have teased their professional wrestling debuts and expressed interest in joining the WWE.
Unified featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano is one of the hottest new stars in women's boxing.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso, Serrano said she would like to test herself against the women of WWE.
On the possibility of wrestling for WWE, Serrano said:
“I always wanted to be in the WWE. My nephew's dream was to become a WWE wrestler, so he set me on this path.”
“Trying myself in the WWE is something I really want to do. I have a lot of respect for all professional wrestlers, especially the female wrestlers who are affiliated with the company.”
According to the article, Serrano began training in professional wrestling five years ago.
Serrano currently has a boxing record of 46 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, with 30 knockouts. She competes for Most Valuable Promotions, a promotion co-founded by Jake Paul, brother of U.S. champion Logan Paul.
She's next scheduled to fight Stevie Morgan on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry undercard on July 20.
