PFL heavyweight Francis Ngannou is not done with professional boxing despite his loss to Anthony Joshua.
'The Predator' made his return to boxing last Friday night in Saudi Arabia against 'AJ'. This fight was Francis Ngannou's second fight, having fought Tyson Fury last October. The former UFC heavyweight champion came close to defeating 'The Gupisy King' by losing despite coming into the match as a huge underdog. Still, Fury won by split decision.
While many could have scored a mental victory in Francis Ngannou's boxing debut, his second fight yielded nothing. Last Friday night, the PFL heavyweight suffered a tough loss before being knocked out within two rounds by Anthony Joshua. This loss was the first time Ngannou ended his martial arts career.
In the days since the loss, Francis Ngannou has remained mostly silent. However, the Giants broke their silence on an Instagram Live stream. Speaking to fans on social media, Ngannou admitted it wasn't his night and gave props to Anthony Joshua for his win. However, the heavyweight also added that he was not feeling well at the time of the fight as it was past 3am in Saudi Arabia.
During the livestream, the former UFC champion also revealed that he's not done with professional boxing yet. Francis Ngannou added that he's not done with MMA either, but it appears the heavyweight still has his eyes set on moving forward in the ring.

PFL heavyweight Francis Ngannou reveals loss to Anthony Joshua in boxing comeback
“It didn’t go our way,” Francis Ngannou said on a recent Instagram Live about his loss to Anthony Joshua last week. “Still, we can discuss and reflect on things because a lot happened… Leading up to that game, it wasn't my day, it wasn't my day. I'm not saying it wouldn't have been different, but my day wasn't like that. At no point in the day did I feel like, “Okay, I'm ready.''I remember he was trying to warm up in his locker, but it didn't work out. [well]”
He continued, “I was falling asleep…but I think some of the people I fought, some of the people I defeated, felt that way before. But I felt that way. It was the first time… Anthony Joshua, going to a team that executed the plan properly. My team did a great job as well. I was the only one who didn't execute the plan correctly.”
“…Yes, I'm not done with boxing yet. I'm not done with MMA,” Francis Ngannou concluded. “Basically right now I'm fighting in the PFL with Renan Ferreira. That's going to be my future opponent in the PFL. But again, I have a lot of fights in the future. Yes, but we can still coalesce and get back into action.”
