Andrew Fairlie
How did you get started in boxing and how old were you?
I started boxing because I wanted to challenge myself, and I had my first amateur fight when I was 20 years old.
Who is your favourite fighter and why?
Muhammad Ali. He was way before my time, but his charisma and skill were fascinating, and what he had to overcome and what he stood for outside the ring was inspiring.
What is the best match you have seen live or on TV?
Oleksandr Usyk vs. Mairis Briedis. It was an all-out war of skill at the highest level. It was amazing to watch.
What has been your greatest achievement in boxing so far?
Personally, I think that boxing has helped me grow both physically and mentally. I look forward to even greater achievements (laughs).
Who is the toughest opponent you have ever faced and why?
Deaborn Miller.
What are your strengths and weaknesses as a boxer?
My strengths are speed, economy of movement, and heart. I don't want to reveal my weaknesses, so I will work on them until they become my strengths.
What's the best boxing training advice you've received?
If you have talent but don't put in the effort, hard work will beat talent.
What is your favorite meal and restaurant?
That's a tough one! But I would choose the Turkish Mixed Grilled Chicken and Lamb with Salad.
Who is your best friend in boxing?
My best friend in boxing is my coach, Matthew Hurst. You don't have many friends in this business because your job is to injure people.
What other athlete would you like to be?
Cristiano Ronaldo.
What is one thing you would like to change about professional boxing?
The judging system. There is too much cheating that can be very damaging to a lot of fighters' careers.
If a movie were to be made about your life, which actor would play you?
Dwayne Johnson.
Have you ever been star-struck? If so, who was that star?
When I saw Tyson Fury outside Wembley Arena I was totally starstruck, what struck me was how tall he was, towering over the security guards (laughs).
What is the best advice you have ever received?
A man who obeys nothing will be deceived by anything.
What is the worst rumor you have heard about yourself?
Luckily, no rumors were spread about me, or in any case, they never reached me.
Not many people know anything about you, so tell us something about yourself.
I'm afraid of spiders.
