Andrei Arlovski is wondering why Dana White kicked him out after UFC 303.
No doubt it has something to do with the fact that “The Pit Bull” is 45 years old, on a four-fight losing streak and making more than $300,000 per fight, but it's also notable that the former heavyweight champion is not ranked at 265 pounds.
“Saturday night at UFC 303 was not my night,” Arlovski wrote on Instagram. “I didn't want my journey with UFC to end like that but it's just the way it is. I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering how it all happened. My chapter at UFC is over but the book isn't finished yet. We'll see what happens. There is still a lot more story to tell. I'm taking some time off with my beautiful family right now. So I want to say Happy Independence Day to all the American people.”
Arlovski (34-24, 2 no-kicks) has not finished a fight in over nine years, with all 10 of his wins coming by judge's decision. Additionally, “The Pit Bull” has come by knockout in 12 of his 24 losses, including a second-round loss to Dontale Mayes at UFC Vegas 74.
“One hell of a ride man,” longtime rival Tim Sylvia wrote in the comments section, “Congratulations, it was an honor to share the cage with you four times. We always put on a show and brought out the best in each other. Happy retirement.”
Goodbye UFC… hello PFL?
