What exactly is Darren Till doing with his fighting career?
Till was originally scheduled to make his boxing debut against former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., but his boxing debut has been unexpectedly rescheduled. The former UFC welterweight title challenger will now face a man named Mo Moutier, nicknamed “The Palestinian Gorilla” and who, according to Tapology, has a mixed martial arts record of 2 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw, at an event called Social Knockout 3 in Dubai this Saturday.
The announcement came abruptly on Monday following news last week that former UFC fighter Uriah Hall would step in for Till to fight Chavez on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry undercard on July 20.

It was a strange turn of events that led to Till getting to this point. He was scheduled to face Chavez on the undercard of the original Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight on July 20. After that bout was canceled due to health concerns for Tyson, Till expressed frustration at the idea of having to wait until the rescheduled date of Nov. 15 to face Chavez, who hasn't fought since November 2022. So it came as quite a surprise when the Hall of Fame replacement was announced.
Once seen as the next big thing for UFC, Darren Till has reached that stage in his career: he's faced some of the biggest names in boxing in the original Paul vs. Tyson fight, then a total unknown in an event headlined by two Middle Eastern “social media stars.”
strange.
