Jiri Prochazka failed in his attempt to reclaim the light heavyweight title when he was stopped by Alex Pereira in a rematch in Saturday's UFC 303 main event.
There was no doubt this time around for Prochazka (30-5-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC), who protested the stoppage in their first bout in November, but now finds himself in a tough spot after being knocked down and stopped by Pereira (11-2 MMA, 8-1 UFC) in the second round at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
History has shown that when a top-class fighter like Prochazka goes 0-2 against the reigning champion, the road ahead is going to be tough.
