Through two seasons, he has recorded 115 tackles (four for loss) and seven interceptions. Last season was arguably Surratt's best season, recording 57 tackles and five interceptions (two of which went for touchdowns).
Surratt will play a key role in the Chargers' defensive strategy this fall along with fellow junior defensive back Lyric Pettis, who has four offers so far, with Appalachian State, Charlotte, Duke and Norfolk State all seeking the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Swiss Army knife-like player.
Aiden Carson also received an offer last week. Dartmouth College has expressed interest in the Crest running back. The Big Green is the second Ivy League school to offer the Chargers senior, with Yale offering in late May. Norfolk State has also offered him.
Carson led Crest with 1,097 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns last season, averaging 8.7 yards per carry.
