LAS VEGAS – The stage was set for the final bout of UFC 303's International Fight Week with the official weigh-ins on Friday for the main event's final showdown between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka.
Pereira (10-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) and Prochazka (30-4-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) agreed to a rematch of their light heavyweight championship bout 17 days ago to replace the canceled main event between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. Both fighters weighed in earlier that day and then performed their final bout in front of fans and media to fulfill their pre-fight obligations.
The 36-year-old Pereira and the 31-year-old Prochazka had one final standoff before the rematch, and it was a thrilling one, which you can watch in the video above.
Prochazka will be looking to get revenge on Pereira, who he lost to him by TKO in the second round in their first encounter at UFC 295 in November. Prochazka said he felt he was stopped early in the bout and now has a chance to prove it in the sequel.
UFC 303 takes place Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with the main card airing on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
