The Minnesota Wild find themselves in an interesting position Friday night with the first round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. With the Wild at 13th overall, they should be able to get a pretty good player right away who can help further establish this young core that general manager Bill Guerin is slowly building.
But should they be more aggressive? Trades will be made a lot, so should the Wild get involved? Will they add potential roster members or give up some current players in the draft? Or will they stay put, draft a few players, then move on to inactive free agency? Probably the latter.
Here are our predictions for the Wild this weekend:
Round 1, 13th overall
Round 2, 45th overall
Round 4, 110th overall
Round 5, 140th overall
Round 5, 142nd overall
Round 6, 174th overall
It should be fun!
That's wild
