SIOUX FALLS — The Augustana University hockey team released its schedule for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday, featuring 14 home games and four new opponents.
After finishing their first year with a record of 12 wins, 18 losses and four ties, the Vikings will open their season on Saturday, Oct. 5 in Grand Forks with an exhibition game against the University of North Dakota.
AU then opens the regular season with two games against Long Island on Oct. 11 and 12 at Midco Arena, before Augustana heads south on Interstate 29 the following weekend for two games against Nebraska-Omaha, which swept the Vikings in a home-and-home series last season.
AU coach Garrett Raboin will have his team on the road for a two-game series at St. Cloud State University on Oct. 25 and 26. Raboin played at St. Cloud State for four years from 2006-2010.
The Vikings' partial CCHA schedule begins at St. Thomas on Nov. 1 and 2 before returning home for a pair of back-to-back games against Bemidji State on Nov. 8 and 9. They'll then head to Ferris State for a road trip (Nov. 22 and 23) before a home series against Northern Michigan University (Nov. 29 and 30).
In December, AU will travel to Alaska for a two-week tour, hosting the Nanooks on Dec. 6-7 and Alaska Anchorage on Dec. 12-13. The Vikings will then play two consecutive games against Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Jan. 3-4. AU suffered its first loss of the season, a 4-3 loss to the Tigers on Oct. 28 in Colorado last year.

Following two consecutive games against Lindenwood on Jan. 17 and 18, Augustana will close out its partial CCHA schedule with four straight games against conference opponents. The Vikings will travel to Bowling Green on Jan. 24 and 25, return home to face Lake Superior State on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, play two consecutive games at Minnesota State on Feb. 7 and 8, and close out with a home series against Michigan Tech on Feb. 14 and 15.
Augustana will close out the regular season with a series against Alaska on Feb. 21 and 22 at Midco Arena.
