Shara Magomedov (13-0 MMA) is riding high on momentum after defeating Antonio Troccoli (12-4 MMA) by knockout in a middleweight bout at UFC Saudi Arabia last Saturday.
Without wasting any time following his win, the unbeaten 30-year-old called out Kevin Holland (26-11 MMA).
Shara Magomedov issued a challenge to Holland on Instagram:
“I challenge you to a fight. You told me I would fight if I came to America. My pirate ship has sailed to the shores of America. Now it's time to board your ship. Let's fight for glory.”
Holland responded on Instagram:
“If you like it, then I like it too, and it seems like you like it too. Let's meet up on the mountain soon.”
Notably, Holland has been promoting a middleweight bout against Jared Cannonier (17-7 MMA) on Instagram on July 13. The UFC has yet to approve a matchup between “The Killer Gorilla” and “The Trailblazer.”
“The Trailblazer” defeated Michal Oleksiejczuk (19-8 MMA) via technical submission earlier this month at UFC 302, earning a Fight of the Night bonus and putting his two previous losses behind him.
