Nate Diaz is siding with Conor McGregor regarding the UFC 303 fiasco.
The two biggest superstars in UFC history have put their differences aside since they last fought at UFC 202 in August 2016. There have been some minor spat between the pair in the eight years since, but Diaz doesn't see McGregor's first career withdrawal as the right time for an argument.
UFC 303 was supposed to be this Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena, with “The Notorious” facing Michael Chandler in his highly anticipated bout. That was until McGregor claimed he had a broken pinky finger and didn't want to compete when he wasn't at 100%. Diaz, 39, believes the community's critical reaction to the decision has been exaggerated.
“I think it was a small thing,” Diaz told MMA Junkie, “I think they made a bigger deal out of it than it was. It's a good idea. If I got beat, I'd like to postpone the fight, but people make a big fuss. I don't want to fight until I'm 100 percent ready. I've done a lot of things in the past that I shouldn't have done.”
“So I think he's learned from the experience. It's inexperienced people saying rubbish and just speaking for their own inexperience. They're going to have to bear the criticism until the game is over, but I think once the game is over, everything will be fine.”
Before McGregor returns to the Octagon, Diaz will continue his boxing career, facing Jorge Masvidal in a boxing rematch next weekend. Diaz first faced Masvidal at UFC 244 in November 2019, losing by doctor's stoppage in the third round. He made his pro debut last August, losing by unanimous decision to Jake Paul.
Diaz is not on the UFC roster, but he finished his run with the organization on a high note and has expressed an interest in fighting there again, and it wouldn't be out of the question for Diaz to eventually face McGregor three times to settle the score at 1-1.
“Well, time will tell,” Diaz said. “It depends on my fights, his fights, what happens with the UFC. I'm not a fortune teller, you know? We'll see what happens.”

Zzzzz.
It's from GSP.
Strickland's visit to Japan is as nightmarish as you'd expect.
Full sparring between Ampo and Strickland.
Ampo wanted a real fight, he asked for three rounds, Sean countered with ten, and it was negotiated down to seven.
Anpo got tired after the first round, and then it was over after the fifth round after Anpo was exhausted.
The interpreter repeatedly told Strickland, “You're going too far.” pic.twitter.com/lK3aTy7cm8

Today I went to lunch with my martial arts master, Megumi Fujii.
Apparently he had been watching the Blood Sports match live the other day, so I asked him about his reflections.

right.
Math.
I've been asked to fight Whittaker many times. I beat Izzy and the world knows I beat Dricus.
Whittaker lost both fights.
I am the number 1 contender and I easily defended that position against Costa.
