The girls are back in town
Well, we all know that athletes often have staggered class schedules and training never stops. The reality of a whole new coaching staff has put the emphasis on getting to know each other even more than PR opportunities. The team moved into summer dorms and is now starting practices and conditioning at Hernhurst, getting acclimated to Coach Duffy's behind-the-scenes ways. School is starting up, and the biggest thing to learn is all the new stuff.
Welcome to Hokie Nation!
Coach Duffy and crew have been hard at work recruiting, and this weekend they added another signing, Amani Jenkins, to the future Hokies roster. Jenkins is a 2025 student-athlete from Johnston High School in Johnston, Iowa, and will continue to showcase Coach Duffy's Midwest coaching roots. Amani is ranked #43 in the 2025 Junior All-Star rankings, making her a valuable signing for Coach Duffy and his staff.
As for new recruit Lani White, there will be time to get to know each other on the PR side.
No, the Kitleys have not moved on. We are overjoyed.
Raven and Liz are constantly campaigning to support those affected by autism and their families. Raven has been welcomed into Hokie Nation and we look forward to seeing the Kitleys at games this season. They were nominated for the NIL Stores Charitable Spirit Award for their Autism Awareness Campaign.
Coach Duffy and his staff are settling down.
There's a lot of work ahead of us, but smiles and laughter always make it easier.
