LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — It's starting to become all about hockey in Las Vegas with the NHL Awards taking place at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Thursday night and the NHL Draft taking place at the Sphere on Friday and Saturday.
A year after the hometown Vegas Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup, visitors can now see the trophy celebrating hockey's highest honor.
Until 1pm on Wednesday, 18 trophies will be on display at the north entrance of Fontainebleau for the enjoyment of fans in the run up to this historic weekend.

The Vegas Golden Knights have won six of the 18 they have been shown. In 2021, Marc-Andre Fleury won the Vezina Trophy, awarded to the best goaltender. That same year, Fleury and Robin Lehner won the William Jennings Trophy, awarded to the goaltender of the team that allowed the fewest goals in a season.
The Knights won four awards after their inaugural 2017-2018 season: After the original Misfits' phenomenal run at the Stanley Cup, William Karlsson won the Lady Byng Award for sportsmanship, Deryk Engelland won the Mark Messier Leadership Award, George McPhee won the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award and then-coach Gerald Gallant was named Jack Adams Coach of the Year.
Not on display are the Clarence Campbell Western Conference championship trophies the Knights won in 2018 and 2023. Captain Mark Stone was the runner-up for the Selke Top Defensive Forward award in 2019.
In 2021, the same season Fleury won two more awards, VGK finished runner-up to the Colorado Avalanche for the Presidents Award for best record.
Of all these trophies, perhaps the most prestigious individual award is the Ted Lindsay MVP Award, which Edmonton star Connor McDavid won last year, becoming just the third player in history to win the honor four times.
Edmonton is fresh off a seven-game Stanley Cup final against Florida, so McDavid may be in attendance for Thursday night's event.
