How can we add a common comment to this video that hasn't been said a million times before? We all think the same thing every time a video of a man getting rejected goes viral on the Internet. But this video has a bit of a special charm. So, here is a quick list of the craziest things about this failed proposal.
I wasn't 100% sure she would say yes.
No matter how awful the setting is, how tacky the ring is, how cheap and wacky the proposal is, the fact that in 2024 there are still men proposing without ever knowing the answer, even in the privacy of their own home, is always the craziest thing to me. How do we get there? Proposing isn't even supposed to be a surprise. I can't imagine spending money on a ring unless she's already picked it out herself. That's insane behavior.
The battle took place after the defeat
Proposing at a sporting event is not well received by fans, but proposing in the stadium after a big game is If you actually play the game It works, but you have to win. perhaps In other sports, it's okay to do it after a loss. If it's the last fight of your career and your girlfriend has been by your side the whole time and you plan to settle down when you retire, it might be okay. But not in MMA. Not after a loss in a mixed martial art. Losing in a team sport like football or basketball is when the loss is not your fault. But after she sees you lose a fight? She doesn't want her proposal to be linked to a guy who's just been beaten (and still bleeding).
It was a 2 on 1 fight…he was on a team of 2
Lucas Bukabos didn't just lose to another man in the ring, he lost to another man with the help of another man.
They fought back to back, not at the same time, which I guess is a bit better, but still. Imagine after all that and then deciding it's time to propose. The guy who beat them barely broke a sweat, it was like Steven Seagal beating a bunch of Aikido students.
If you were wondering, yes, the official Clash of Stars Instagram account also posted Lucas Bukavos' failed marriage proposal to further add salt to the words.
He recently betrayed her
NY Post – The ring announcer awkwardly took to the microphone and said, “Given everything that's happened so far, that's probably not going to happen,” to boos from the crowd. “I don't think so.”
Mr Bukobaz's girlfriend also said that this was because she had recently discovered he had been unfaithful, a charge that Mr Bukobaz denied.
For some reason, a lot of men seem to think that when things aren't going well in a relationship, proposing in a big way will solve the problem — as if temporarily dazzling her with their love and devotion will make all the stupid things they've done recently disappear because they're on their knees in front of her and professing their love to die for her. While that might work sometimes, generally, if you end up proposing as a last resort, it's almost always a bad idea.
He recently dyed his hair pink.
I don't know who this girl is. I get the impression she's a girl who's crazy about pink hair. Maybe she asked for it. But looking at this guy's Instagram account, it looks like he's never had pink hair in his life. I don't think most girls would want their fiancé to have a crazy hairstyle in a proposal photo. Plus, he probably wants to be shirtless and not have blood running down his face.
At the end of the video, the trainer sprays her with water.
God bless that girl. MMA fans booing all over the arena. Crazy Eastern European martial arts trainer throwing liquid at you. Hostile environment.
She didn't just say “yes”
She has the nerve to just say yes and not do anything to break his heart later. I truly believe that if I was a girl and my boyfriend proposed to me when I didn't want to be with him, I would just say yes out of awkwardness and get married and spend the rest of my life with him. I would never say no in the middle of a ring in a packed stadium. I would just say yes, take a few pictures, let him buy me drinks all night, and the next morning I'm like, “Dude, you idiot, you know you can't get married, right?”

Or you could hold off on proposing for a few weeks and then break up once things have calmed down. Don't just say no on the spot.
What a pathetic, stupid guy. Hopefully this will be the worst night of his life. At least he gets a revenge match. I'm not sure what his status is in this Clash of the Stars fighting league, but if he was only outplayed in a 2-on-1 match, I have to think he's not one of the heavy hitters. But then he got rejected in the ring, creating perhaps the most talked about moment in their organization's history, so at least he gets another chance in the ring.
