A University of Iowa football wide receiver was arrested Sunday and charged with DUI in Iowa City. According to a criminal complaint, 20-year-old Caleb Brown was arrested early Sunday morning. Police say Brown was found driving on the road with the front of his car severely damaged. According to the complaint, Brown backed his car onto a lawn and began spinning his tires. Officers say Brown had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. Brown refused a breathalyzer test. He was arrested for DUI. Brown began his college football career at Ohio State University, playing in five games as a freshman in 2022 and recording one catch. He transferred to the University of Iowa after the 2022 season and playing in 11 games, recording 22 catches for 215 yards and one touchdown. According to a criminal complaint, 20-year-old Caleb Brown was arrested early Sunday morning.
Police say Brown was found driving down the road with the front of his vehicle severely damaged. He then backed his car onto a lawn and began spinning his tires, according to the complaint.
Officers said Brown had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. Brown refused to submit to a field sobriety test.
He was sent to prison for drunk driving.
