Tim Tzu will face Keith Thurman in a 12-round non-title bout on March 30th on Amazon Prime PPV, and then face Terrence Crawford, Errol Spence Jr., and Virgil Ortiz Jr. Ready to fight.
Tshi (24-0, 17 KOs) wants the biggest fight possible, but there are currently no established fighters in the 154-pound division. Crawford is expected to move up to No. 154 soon, and Tszyu hopes to defend his WBO title against him.
Unfortunately, former undisputed junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo has been stripped of all titles and it is doubtful he will fight again after his big payday with Canelo Alvarez.
CRAWFORD: Toughest test?
“100%, no questions asked. If they give me a contract right now with any one of those three names, give me a pen and I'll sign it right away, no problem,” Tim said. Tzu told FightHype when asked if he would be interested in fighting Terrence Crawford, Errol Spence Jr. or Vergil Ortiz.
“I think Crawford has earned the right to say he's pound-for-pound No. 1. So I think he will be,” Tszyu said when asked who would be the toughest test. It's going to be a crazy fight. It would be a bloody disaster. I don’t think it is for me,” Tszyu said of the fight with Vergil Ortiz.
The only question for Crawford is whether he is willing to take the risk by facing Tszyu now, as he is still eyeing a title fight against Canelo. Crawford may not want to take on a risky fight with Tszyu until he is scheduled to face Canelo.
“Certainly, I have nothing but respect for Virgil,” Tsi said. “He's a warrior. Oscar, on the other hand, is out of control. He seems crazy all the time. Virgil seems smart. Of course, if that fight was easy, I'd welcome it with open arms. To do.
Tszyu’s challenge against Charlo without a belt
“100%. The problem is: [Jermell] Charlo doesn't have a belt right now, so that's why it's even more exciting for me,” Tsi said. “I'm going to fight him without the belt on the line. It doesn't matter. Let's make it. Let's prove who is the best 154-pounder right now. That's my mentality. But… “I think Charlo is in a different world right now. He's not thinking about boxing,” Tszyu said.
If Jermell continues his career, he'll probably move up to 160 or 168. That would allow him to pursue bigger paychecks in those ranks.
