UFC CEO Dana White has responded to Conor McGregor suggesting he plans to return to the Octagon in August or September.

McGregor (22-6 MMA) was scheduled to make his welterweight return against Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA) in the main event of next weekend's UFC 303 event. Unfortunately for combat sports fans, a broken toe sustained during training camp has forced “The Notorious” fighter to withdraw from the highly anticipated bout.
Conor McGregor was at Bellator Dublin today and told reporters he plans to fight again in August or September of this year.
When asked about the Irishman's withdrawal from UFC 303, UFC CEO Dana White said: “He's a big part of it.
“Yes, it's been hard, but it's always been hard. There's a lot of other stuff going on, not just like this. It's our job.”

Dana White has responded to Conor McGregor's claims that he plans to return to the Octagon in August or September:
“I don't know right now. Well, the schedule is already set, so we'll see. We're not doing anything until we know Connor is healthy. It's not even worth talking about. What about September? What about October? He's not ready yet. So there's no point in talking about it.”
Conor McGregor last fought in 2021, losing to Dustin Poirier in a three-part fight at UFC 264. “The Notorious” McGregor broke his leg in that bout and hasn't competed since. The Irishman's last win was at UFC 246 in January 2020, when he defeated Donald Cerrone by first-round TKO.
It will be interesting to see if Dana White and company decide to take on Conor McGregor before the end of 2024.
