Madison Central tight end Micah Jones has announced his commitment to the University of Florida.
“Home,” Jones, a three-star recruit, wrote in a social media post on Friday.
“I'm very proud of Micah and his family,” Madison Central High School coach Toby Corums told the Clarion Ledger , “Obviously, it's a big deal when your kid gets a chance to go to an SEC school, but it's even better when it's a kid like Micah who is a great teammate and leader on the team.”
The 247Sports Composite rates Jones, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound receiver, as the No. 28 tight end overall in the state of Mississippi and the No. 15 recruit in the Class of 2025.
