The Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) have a goaltender Owen Lepack He has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Western Michigan University in the NCHC.
The 18-year-old Reppak played his first season of junior hockey with the Maryland Black Bears, appearing in 27 regular season games and compiling a record of 18 wins, 8 losses and 1 tie, including three shutout games, while maintaining a 2.18 goals against average and .913 save percentage.
A native of Clarkston, Michigan, Lepack started goalie in 11 Robertson Cup Playoff games for the East Division champions, compiling a postseason record of 8-3-0, including a shutout against the Maine Nordiques on May 4. While in Blaine, Minnesota for the Robertson Cup championship event, Lepack recorded a season-high 46 saves in a 6-2 win over the Minot Minotaur, helping send the Black Bears to the championship game with a sweep of the Minotaurs.
Due to his success this season, Leppak was nominated by the North American Hockey League for the league's Rookie of the Year award and was named the All-East Division Rookie of the Year.

We couldn't be more proud of this kid. Western Michigan University has acquired a very talented and motivated person,” said Black Bears head coach Clint Millimock.
Repak is the 12th player to commit to the Black Bears this season.
