STARKVILLE — Mississippi State University football has named a running back in its recruiting class of 2025. Collin Wilson, who signed with Cincinnati in April, has committed to Mississippi State, the player announced on his social media pages Thursday.
Wilson's change of heart came after a visit to Starkville last weekend. He is a three-star prospect at Gulf Shores High School in Gulf Shores, Alabama, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Wilson's offer sheet includes Northwestern, Western Kentucky, Toledo and Troy. He is the first running back to commit to Mississippi State coach Jeff Levy in the 2025 cycle. Levy is in his first season with the Bulldogs after being hired in November to replace fired coach Zach Arnette.
Wilson accompanied Levy's staff on a key official visit last weekend. Coming into the weekend, Michigan State had just four freshmen committed. The Bulldogs now have 12 committed.
Wilson becomes the third Alabama player to commit to Mississippi State, joining three-star linebackers AJ Rice (Madison) and Christopher Johnson (Montgomery).
