Other renovations are still a long way off for Nebraska. Fans are waiting with bated breath for another change in plans for Memorial Stadium. With 67,000 season ticket holders, many are eager to know what's going to happen. Demolition and rebuild project. South Stadium is currently on hold. New Husker athletic director Troy Dannen has determined that East and West Stadiums need to be renovated first. Husker Insider Sean Callahan. While the original plan, which would have caused the biggest disruption Memorial Stadium has ever seen, has been put on hold, at least for now, Dan announced some new ideas today. The first would begin after the 2025 season. The bleachers in East and West Stadium would be replaced with seating with chairs, reducing capacity but bringing new revenue to the university. Dan is also considering doing away with the grandfathered donation system for seats that some fans have been tied to for more than 30 years. He may also introduce a level playing field for seat prices, with the university's interim president saying that given the scale of change we're going to see in college sports, all options need to be considered. There are still plans to renovate South Stadium, but there is no clear timeline for when it will be implemented. The initial projected cost of the renovation is $450 million. We're still planning on that figure, but we haven't submitted a program statement to the board with such details. There are no plans yet to sell alcohol at Memorial Stadium, but as fans may know, Husker Baseball was recently approved to sell drinks. They have sold about $12,000.

The former Northwestern quarterback announced his commitment to the University of Nebraska football program on social media Thursday. “I want to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey at Northwestern. I am forever grateful for the relationships and memories I made during my time there. I want to thank Coach McCarty for impacting my life and believing in me,” said Jayne Gramstad.
