Israel Adesanya thinks Michael Chandler should “fight again” following the cancellation of UFC 303.

UFC 303 takes place on Saturday, June 29th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The lightweight main event was scheduled to feature Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA) versus Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA).
That all changed when UFC CEO Dana White announced that “Notorious” would pull out of the bout due to injury.
“X“It's a big deal,” White said last Thursday.
“Okay guys, here we go again…McGregor will miss his 303 fight against Michael Chandler due to injury.”
Israel Adesanya responded to the news in a recent video posted to his YouTube channel, FREESTYLEBENDER, advising “Iron” to take on another fight in the meantime (via MMANews).
“I think the (McGregor vs. Chandler) fight will happen anyway. Chandler should fight (in the meantime). Win or lose, it's better for him because he can still train. Fight anyway. The Conor fight will always happen because I've fought them both on TUF… But I think it would be good to have another fight.”
Chandler, 38, hasn't fought since a loss to Dustin Poirier (30-9) at UFC 281 in November 2022.
Meanwhile, Israel Adesanya (24-3 MMA) is preparing to face current champion Dorricus du Plessis (21-2 MMA) in a middleweight title bout in the main event of UFC 305 in Perth, Australia this August.
Do you agree with “The Last Stylebender” that Chandler shouldn't wait for the Irishman to return to the Octagon?
