What happens at Giant?
Giant tells the heartwarming true story of Prince Naseem's relationship with steelworker-turned-trainer Brendan Ingle as the pair overcome obstacles together to take the boxing world by storm, with Naseem winning multiple world championship titles.
But it's also an underdog story, charting Naseem's struggles growing up in a small town in Sheffield and the problems that come with the challenges of chasing your sporting dreams.
According to the film's official synopsis, Nas and Ingle's unlikely partnership, “combined with Nas' unconventional style, cocky personality and sheer dominance in the ring, catapulted them to the pinnacle of boxing's elite and unprecedented levels of global superstardom – all in the face of the Islamophobia and racism that was rampant in '80s and '90s Britain.”
Who is in the cast of “Giants”?
Amir El Masry will play Prince Nassim Hamed. He played a young Mohamed Al-Fayed in season 5 of The Crown and has also appeared in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and A Haunting in Venice.
Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan joins the cast as his strict trainer, Ingle.
The cast also includes Katherine Dow Blyton, Austin Haynes, Ariane Nick and Rocco Haynes, while two other stars, Ali and Ghaith Saleh, will play younger versions of Nas.
