The Buffalo Bills are proud to support the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL) through sponsorship to establish a chapter in Buffalo. The NGFFL is a non-profit sports organization dedicated to promoting the positive enjoyment of both the social and sporting aspects of American flag football.
“We are thrilled to bring inclusive flag football to Buffalo with the support of the Buffalo Bills. With this exciting addition, the National Gay Flag Football League will have more than 4,000 players, including straight supporters, across 27 cities,” said NGFFL Commissioner Joel Horton.
This collaboration marks a milestone in bringing LGBTQ+ organized football to Buffalo, as the Buffalo Bills join other NFL teams, including the Giants, Patriots, Jets, Dolphins, Cardinals, Bears, Commanders and Seahawks, in making the growing league even more inclusive.
“Our mission is to unite our community through competition while celebrating diversity. By fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome, we aim to build a stronger, more inclusive Buffalo. With the support of the Buffalo Bills, we are creating a space where all individuals can participate, compete and grow,” Horton continued.
The NGFFL has been in existence since 2002 and has grown steadily in major cities across the U.S. More details on the exciting developments in the NGFFL in Buffalo will be available soon on the league's website.
“We are pleased to support the NGFFL alongside the NFL and other clubs in the league,” said Michelle Roberts, Buffalo Bills vice president of community impact. “Through our sponsorship, we look forward to expanding the NGFFL's impact in the community.”
