It's not too early for the University of Michigan football program to secure a potential quarterback of the future.
Brady Hart announced his commitment to the University of Michigan's 2026 recruiting class on Monday, becoming the latest addition to the Wolverines' quarterback corps.
There's still a quarterback competition to determine the starter for 2024. Not to mention, the Wolverines have a four-star true freshman (Jaidyn Davis) committed and a promising four-star high school senior (Carter Smith) committed. Still, the UM coaching staff received welcome news when Hart's decision became official.

Hart, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound four-star prospect rated as the seventh-best quarterback in his class and 92nd overall in the nation by the 247Sports composite rankings, committed to the Wolverines on Monday afternoon.
Hart, a native of Cocoa, Fla., pledged his loyalty to UM offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell over other top schools, including Clemson, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State and the three major state universities in Florida, Florida State and Miami.
According to Hart's recruiting profile, as a sophomore he led Cocoa High School to a 14-1 record and a Florida 2S State Championship in his first year as a starter, completing 288 of 437 passes (65.9%) for 3,759 yards, 41 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Hart will be the Wolverines' first player to commit in their senior year of high school, but UM currently has just eight players committed in the class of 2025. New head coach Sherone Moore and his staff have been gaining momentum recently, landing three commits since June 10 in four-star DL Jalen Williams (Palatine, Ill.), four-star S Kainoa Winston (Washington, D.C.) and most recently, three-star RB Jasper Parker (Marrero, Louisiana).
Hart comes from an athletic family: His father, Alex, was a former pitcher at the University of Florida (1999-2022) and was selected in the fifth round of the 2002 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
