Millsaps College has a new president. On Monday, the Millsaps College Board of Trustees welcomed Frank Neville as the school's 12th president. The board conducted an extensive national search. According to Millsaps College, Neville most recently served as senior vice president for strategic initiatives and chief of staff at Georgia Tech. During his tenure, he developed and implemented the college's strategic plan, improved administrative services, and led a culture change program to align leadership, performance, and policy with strategic values. “I am excited to join the Millsaps community,” Neville said. “I am deeply impressed with Millsaps' student-centered, mission-driven philosophy, and look forward to leading the college into its next chapter.” Neville will succeed Robert W. Pearigen, who will retire in May 2023 to become vice chancellor and provost at Suwanee: The University of the Southern in Suwanee, Tennessee.

The committee conducted an extensive nationwide search.
Neville most recently served as senior vice president for strategic initiatives and chief of staff at Georgia Tech, according to Millsaps College. During his tenure, he developed and implemented the college's strategic plan, improved administrative services and led a culture change program to align leadership, performance and policy with strategic values.
“I am truly excited to join the Millsaps community,” Neville said. “I am extremely impressed with Millsaps' student-centered, mission-driven philosophy and look forward to leading the college into its next phase.”
Neville will succeed Robert W. Pearigen, who will retire in May 2023 to become executive vice chancellor and provost of The Southern University in Sewanee, Tennessee.
