Georgia Tech had an outstanding recruiting run last weekend and got another boost tonight with the commitment of three-star edge Carrington Coombs, who will play at Hebron Christian Academy in Georgia. Coombs became Georgia Tech's 13th recruit in the 2025 class.
Georgia Tech's class is currently ranked 22nd in the country and 4th in the ACC, behind Clemson, Syracuse and Stanford. The Yellow Jackets have an average freshman rank of 87.44, higher than Syracuse and Stanford and behind Clemson, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina and SMU.
Coombs is a three-star recruit, the No. 625 player in the country, the No. 68 linebacker in the country and the No. 69 player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite.

2023: Played two-way snaps at Hebron Christian Academy in Dacula, Georgia, helping lead the Lions to a 6-5 record and a berth in the first round of the GHSA 3A playoffs. As a junior, he recorded 41 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble and two catches for 23 yards on offense.
