The mixed martial arts bout produced a sensational double knockdown, including a brutal “nut shot.”
Heavyweight pair Tim Johnson and Danilo Marquez have qualified for the second round of the Professional Fighters League's 2024 playoff season.
And when both fighters went down simultaneously in the first round, fans got more than they bargained for.
Johnson landed a powerful overhand right that knocked Marquez down.
But the Brazilian simultaneously landed a kick that landed a low blow on his American opponent.
Both men collapsed and rose in equal confusion, leaving fans equally stunned.
One person said: “Wow! I've never seen anything like that in MMA! Amazing!”
Another added: “A historic moment in our sport. A left hook and a shot to the groin, a double knockdown.”
“This may be the funniest moment in mixed martial arts history,” one person joked.
Johnson was given time to recover and eventually won the fight in the same round.

This earned him six points for the first-round stoppage and earned him a spot in the PFL playoffs.
Now, the four finalists will compete in a winner-take-all final for $1 million.
Johnson revealed he had no idea what happened after the simultaneous knockdowns.
He said: “I had no idea it had landed. It hurt. It was definitely the worst hit to the groin I've ever had.”
“I had no idea. I heard people booing and I was just like, 'Sorry, you kicked me in the groin. I'll try my best.'”
“But then I realised they were booing Danilo.”
