The University of Missouri football team made a lot of noise in the recruiting world last week, and the buzz continued on Friday.
The Tigers have signed running back Jamarion Morrow, the first running back Missouri has signed from the 2025 class, according to On3 Recruiting.
The Melrose High School standout from Germantown, Tennessee, is unanimously ranked as the No. 19 running back in his class and the No. 6 prospect in the state, according to On3 Recruiting.
The 5-foot-9, 180-pound player chose Missouri over fellow SEC schools Alabama, Georgia and Texas A&M, although Missouri wasn't on his recent official visit list, the other three were. Oregon and Ole Miss were also in his top six as of late March. He received his first offer from the Tigers on Jan. 23, 2023.
Morrow becomes the Tigers' 10th commit in the 2025 class, joining quarterback Matt Zollars, offensive tackle Jack Lang, edge rusher Daden Hopkins, linebacker Dante McClellan, interior offensive lineman Henry Fenuk, defensive lineman Jason Dowell, safety Dillon Williams, linebacker Kason King and edge rusher Joshua Lewis.
Moroz's commitment marks his third this week, as Fenuk selected the Tigers on June 10 and Williams did the same on the 11th.
“Go Tigers!” Morrow posted a comment on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the news broke.
At the start of last season, the Tigers weren't even considered a top 25 contender for the College Football Playoff, let alone a contender, but they finished with an 11-2 record, their best since 2014, and ranked No. 8 overall in the polls after a win over Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl.
Morrow will likely have to wait until after this season to enroll, especially as the Tigers are aiming to qualify for the College Football Playoff under the new 12-team format.
