UFC legend Anderson Silva won't retire after his fight against Chael Sonnen this weekend.
On Saturday night in Brazil, “The Spider” will step into the boxing ring once again. Anderson Silva hasn't fought since losing a unanimous decision to Jake Paul in October 2022. It was his first loss since leaving UFC in 2020. Nearly two years after that loss, he'll return to the ring to face Chael Sonnen.
“The American Gangster” is considered by most fans to be the Brazilian's biggest rival. Chael Sonnen has never beaten Anderson Silva inside the cage, but he'll be looking to do so in the boxing ring this weekend. The two UFC legends headline the card in a five-round heavyweight bout.
Heading into this fight, many are predicting this will be Anderson Silva's last fight — it's an easy assumption to make given his age and the amount of damage he's sustained over his long career — but don't think the former UFC middleweight champion is going anywhere just yet. MMA Hour Alongside Ariel Helwani, Silva spoke about his trilogy bout with Chael Sonnen.
