Clark was originally named to the 14-man national team for training camp in Cleveland, Ohio, in early April. But the former Iowa star was Hawkeyes They made it to the finals but lost to South Carolina for the second straight year.
Nine other Olympians have been invited to the camp, including five-time Phoenix Mercury gold medalist Diana Taurasi, who is also expected to return.
The final roster has yet to be announced, but Fever teammate Aliyah Boston was also named to the national team training squad in April.

The news comes amid Clark's growing popularity in the women's basketball world, with both professional and women's college basketball teams seeing sold-out games and record-breaking viewership.
On Friday night, Clark scored a career-high 30 points in an 85-83 victory over the winless Washington Mystics. The attendance was on par with that of the NBA.
The Mystics played the game at Capital One Arena and drew a sold-out crowd of 20,333, the largest attendance for a WNBA game since 2007. By comparison, the Mystics' usual venue, the Entertainment and Sports Arena, seats just 4,200.

The decision to leave Clarke out of the final line-up sparked an outcry on social media.
