There are high expectations for the Bisons after a year in which the Howard University football team played for the HBCU National Championship, and 2024 will likely bring even more attention to the program.
The season opener between Howard and Rutgers has been moved from Saturday, August 31 to Thursday, August 29. Due to this change, the game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. Kickoff for this game is at 6 PM inside SHI Stadium.
The schedule changes impact not only non-conference games, but also key HBCU matchups. In November, the Bison will play rival North Carolina Central on a Friday night. Howard and NCCU will move their game up a day from Nov. 16 to Nov. 15. With the move to Friday, the game will air on ESPNU at 8 p.m.
Last year's matchup between NCCU and Howard was a key moment in determining who would play in the MEAC's Celebration Bowl.
Howard The team prevented NCCU from returning to Atlanta with a crushing 50-20 victory. that's all Eagles.
Quinton Williams He had his eyes on the end zone in Howard's win, as he wreaked havoc on North Carolina Central's defense with three touchdown passes and another rushing. That football game may not be far from the Eagles' minds when Howard visits the Bull City in 2024.
