Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will likely face off on another day.
The boxing match between the 57-year-old former heavyweight champion and the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-martial artist Tyson has been postponed after Tyson was diagnosed with a recurrence of an ulcer.
Jake's fighting promotion company Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix announced the news in a press release on May 31.
“Unfortunately, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not be able to fight as planned on July 20th,” Most Valuable Promotions said in a release shared on Instagram. “Tyson has recently suffered a recurrence of his ulcer which will prevent him from training at full capacity for the next few weeks. The fight will be rescheduled for later in the year once Mike has resumed training without restrictions and both fighters are able to prepare equally for this once in a lifetime matchup!”

I'm absolutely devastated,” he said. “We've worked so hard here and I feel bad for everyone in this camp and myself and everyone involved in this event… but first and foremost we care about Mike's health. I love Mike, I have a lot of respect for him and I want Mike to stay healthy,” he added, before addressing Mike's comments in a press release.

This is just too big an opportunity. I think this fight will change the world,” he added.
