“I knew there were some flaws in his game. I worked a lot on that – watching his videos and watching him open up and keep his body open. I saw it, and that’s what I wanted to take advantage of.”

“I'm really happy. I practiced a lot for this fight. It was a really important fight in my career. My contract is up for renewal, so it was really important for me to win tonight. …One more fight and… We will work on renewal.
“…I'm doing my job. I don't care if it's the main card or the preliminaries. I was the athlete who accomplished the most on this card. I came in and put on a show and danced. We started, we had a great fight, and then we put on another show at the end. We did the beginning, the middle, and the end. I mean, everything was perfect, everything was perfect.”
Pereira talks about what he wants next
“I really want to fight in Brazil. Obviously there's going to be an event (in Rio de Janeiro) and I've always wanted to fight there and feel the energy of the crowd. That's really what I want to do.”
