No. 10: He can handle pressure
Not only has Travis played in three, soon to be four, Super Bowls and won two of them (no big deal!); Saturday Night LiveSo we can see that he can withstand the intense spotlight with ease.
It may seem like a small thing, but Taylor has written several songs about worrying that her fame might become too much for a lover to handle (see “Peace” and “The Archer”).
“It depends on who you're with,” Taylor says. “If they're having serious issues, I think they might hide or something, but I don't really like that because it makes me feel like I'm on the run from the law or something. I don't want to feel like a fugitive, like, 'Oh, we're in a relationship, I better hide!'”
“If you're in a relationship and it feels normal, I think that's a good thing.”
And his The Wall Street Journal During the interview, Travis proved he's more than capable of handling the pressure that comes with dating someone as influential as Taylor.
“Obviously, I've never been with anyone that had that aura… I've never dealt with it,” he said, “but at the same time, I'm not running from any of it.”
“She's under a magnifying glass every day, there are paparazzi staring at her outside her house, outside restaurants, when she gets off a plane, everywhere, and she's just living and enjoying life,” he added. “It's not OK for me to act weird when she's acting like that.”
