De'Andre Hunter had another productive season, averaging 15.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game on 45.9% shooting from the field and 38.5% from three-point range in 57 regular season games.
He has played five seasons in the NBA, all with the Atlanta Hawks.
on tuesday, Michael Scott of HoopsHype The Hawks were reportedly planning to put him on the trade market this summer.
From Scotto on HoopsHype: “As the draft approached, rival executives projected Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter would also be available to Atlanta.”
Hunter was the fourth pick in the 2019 NBA Draft (out of Virginia).
While he never managed to break out as an All-Star caliber forward, he is still a very reliable role player who can help many teams.
In 263 regular season games, Hunter averaged 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 44.7% from the field and 36.3% from three-point range.
Additionally, he appeared in 16 NBA playoff games.
The Hawks are coming off a season in which they went 36-46 and were the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They lost to the Chicago Bulls in the play-in tournament and missed the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2020 season.
In 2021, the Hawks reached the Eastern Conference Finals but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs (2022 and 2023).
