Former Florida Gators and Arizona State quarterback Jaden Rashada, now with the Georgia Bulldogs, has filed a lawsuit against the Gators football program and head coach Billy Napier.
Former Arizona State quarterback Jaden Rashada committed to the University of Georgia last month. Once a highly-anticipated prospect, Rashada initially committed to the University of Florida but withdrew his national letter of intent with the Gators and head coach Billy Napier and ultimately left Gainesville to commit to the Arizona State Sun Devils. After one year at Arizona State, Rashada is committed to the Bulldogs.
But his time with the Gators in Gainesville isn't completely over. Reports surfaced Tuesday that Lasada is suing Billy Napier and the Florida Gators football program. Gators coach Billy Napier, former president of NIL Florida, Marcus Castro Walker, and UF benefactor Hugh Hatchik. OneShe is named as a defendant in the lawsuit. In the 37-page complaint, Rashada claims she was lied to multiple times in order to be coerced into transferring from Miami to Florida.
Florida reportedly offered Rashada a four-year contract worth $13.85 million. According to On3.com, Rashada is suing for fraudulent misrepresentation, fraudulent inducement, aiding and abetting fraud, fraudulent conspiracy, negligent misrepresentation, tortious interference, aiding and abetting tortious interference and vicarious liability.
