A month after Myles Kelly entered the transfer portal, he was expected to move to the SEC.
Jeffrey Lee of On3 Sports recorded a recruiting projection on May 23 that Kelly would enroll at Auburn University and play for Bruce Pearl with the Tigers.
Last month, Joe Tipton of On3 Sports reported that Kelly had entered the transfer portal and planned to enroll in the NBA Draft in 2024. Kelly enrolled in the draft last year but opted to return to Georgia Tech for one more season. He did not enter the transfer portal last season.
Kelly is a very talented player and has been Georgia Tech's leading scorer for the past two consecutive seasons. Although his offensive efficiency has decreased this year, Kelly is one of the players Georgia Tech wanted to keep on their team and is likely to move on to another team. This season, Kelly is averaging 13.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
