Portsmouth martial arts instructor charged with sexual assault

Gerrish is charged with three misdemeanor counts of sexual assault, four counts of simple assault, and two counts of chiropractic medical misconduct. He did not operate a chiropractic office. This relates to the sham that led to the incident unfolding. According to a criminal complaint filed in Portsmouth District Court, Gerrish knowingly provoked inappropriate physical contact with the victim. All of these charges involve the same victim. Portsmouth police say the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are investigating whether there are any additional victims. Gerrish could not be reached for comment. His arraignment is scheduled for July 8 in the Portsmouth area.
