Evolution Traditional Korea Martial Arts (formerly known as Kuk Sool Won Dunfermline) was founded in 2009 and will mark its anniversary with an event at Glen Pavilion on Saturday.
Led by husband and wife team Craig and Tammy Hill, they teach traditional Korean martial arts (milae guksuul), where students learn kicking, striking, joint fixation, throwing, pressure points, meditation, breathing techniques, and traditional Korean martial arts. You can learn weapons and falling techniques. more.
People of all ages, from 3 years old to late 60s, participate and provide an opportunity to stay healthy, learn self-defense and Korean culture, and develop strong friendships while having fun.
Craig, the fifth Kuxur Master, said the school has grown into more than just him and Tammy, the 4th Grade Assistant Master, commenting: His club has over 240 students.
“Thank you to all the instructors, students and parents who make our club the vibrant, positive and friendly place it is today.
“We teach traditional Korean martial arts (future national martial arts), which are incredibly diverse and enjoyable for everyone.
“Not only do we teach traditional martial arts, we are also a school of lifetime membership to Skillz, a world leader in child development that uses martial arts as a tool to help children become their best selves. .”
“This is backed by all the science and psychology, and is equally focused on character development in children, not just the obvious physical skill development that martial arts provides.
“We develop confidence, self-control and self-control through a variety of fun and engaging ways to work with children.”
Recently, three students from the school traveled with Craig to San Francisco to compete in the United Mille Couscour California Championships and returned with medals.
JKN (1st grade black belt) Sian Graham won 3 gold medals (sparring, staff and form), 2 silver medals (kichohyeon 1-8, sword) and 2 bronze medals (self-defense and bonto).
