A local martial arts school has reopened after a Tesla driver crashed into a Pine Township mall Monday night.
The driver crashed into the windshield of the Rothrock Kung Fu and Tai Chi venue on Perry Highway around 8:30 p.m.
The front window had broken, glass splattered everywhere, and it was clear that an adult kung fu class was being held there.
“There were no kids there, so that was nice,” said owner and master instructor Ernest Rothrock.
No one was injured.
The broken windows were then boarded up and partitions were installed to cover the damage inside. Classes resumed on Tuesday.
Rothrock was not at the scene at the time of the accident, but said her manager reported that police and firefighters helped clean up the broken glass.
“I didn't have to do it, but I did it.”
Northern Regional Police told Channel 11 the driver was on his way to pick up his son and the accident was completely accidental. No charges have been filed.
