Hefei, China, May 20, 2024 (Globe Newswire) — Gotion High-tech held the 13th technology conference on May 17th and announced that the 5C ultra-fast charging G- is ready for immediate mass production. It announced new products and new technologies such as the Current battery. , high nickel NCM cylindrical Stellar cells, and the industry's hottest solid-state battery technology.
G-Current batteries are designed with 5C ultra-fast charging technology, providing 80% energy replenishment in 9.8 minutes of charging and 90% energy replenishment in 15 minutes of charging. This solution can be applied to a full range of battery applications in BEV or hybrid vehicles, covering LFP, LMFP and NCM chemistry systems. At the conference, Cao Yong, deputy director of Gotion High-tech Engineering Research and Development Institute, said the release of the G-Current battery signifies mass production.
Stellary batteries use Gotion High-tech's self-developed second-generation silicone carbon material and fast-charging electrolyte, allowing ultra-fast charging from 10% to 70% state of charge in just 9 minutes . A battery pack equipped with this cell can be charged for a range of 350 km in 5 minutes and 600 km in 10 minutes. Stellary Battery Pack's unique structural design can dissipate 70% of the heat to the outside of the pack within just 3 seconds, ensuring the highest rate of cooling even under extreme conditions and achieving zero thermal runaway. At the same time, Stellary battery is also equipped with wireless BMS technology and multi-faceted effective cooling technology, which comprehensively improves battery safety and reliability. Stellary batteries are produced in Gotion High-tech's Gen7 factory, which achieves um-level precision production, the highest standard in the industry, enabling a 50% reduction in manufacturing costs.
Gemstone batteries incorporate breakthrough solid-state technology and boast an energy density of 350 Wh/kg, more than 40% higher than mainstream NCM batteries. This enhancement increases electric vehicle range and improves energy efficiency. Additionally, Gemstone passed his 200-degree hot box test the first time, significantly exceeding the 130 degrees prescribed by national standards, marking a significant advance in battery technology in terms of safety.
