Phoenix Suns trade speculation never seems to end.
First, some NBA writers and insiders speculated that Kevin Durant could be on the move this offseason. Then Devin Booker was also part of the conversation.
What are the latest Suns trade rumors?
The team could package a 2024 NBA Draft first-round pick (No. 22 overall) and a 2031 NBA Draft first-round pick to acquire a veteran piece to add to the roster.
The rumors really started to take off following recent comments from NBA insider Shams Charania on The Pat McAfee Show, in which he said the Suns plan to be “very aggressive” in seeking a trade before the June 26 NBA Draft.
“Just to be clear, they have two first-round picks that they can trade on draft night,” Charania said this week. “I think there's a perception out there that they don't have the assets and can't take action right now. But they do have some salaries that are easy to trade. They have contracts. They have a player like Nasir Little that they can tie up with, and they have two first-round picks on draft night, so I think they're going to be very, very aggressive from now until draft night. .”

Phoenix Suns trade speculation swirls over NBA draft pick
NBA Insider Evan Sideley posted that Little could be a trade piece for the Suns' pick.
“Keep an eye on Nasir Little, who will make $6.7 million next season, as these picks can come with annual salaries,” he wrote. “Due to the second apron penalty, Phoenix will not be able to recoup more salary than they paid in the trade.”

Sports Illustrated's Kevin Hicks listed several candidates for the Suns to keep an eye on in the trade market.
“Who could the Suns get with that asset?” he wrote. “The answer is pretty complicated because the Suns fall under the 'second apron' penalty. The Suns can only trade players one-for-one, and they can't bring in more salary than they put in.” Alex Caruso , players like TJ McConnell, and others would not be available on this basis unless Jusuf Nurkic is the player included in the trade instead, which would also further complicate trade negotiations. ”
NBA Mock Draft:Who will be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft?
Burn City Sports wrote that trading Little and a pick could be the Suns' best option to improve.
“With the exception of Little not being in the starting lineup, David Roddy is owed $2.9 million on the third of his four-year rookie contract next year (not much different than a veteran's minimum contract),” wrote Brendan Mau. Ta. “The Suns have the right to extend Royce O'Neal if they want to extend his contract, but Eric Gordon, Josh Okogie, Drew Eubanks and Damion Lee are all also on veteran minimum contracts until next season. They have a player option. Up until now, Phoenix hasn't been able to combine those salaries to trade a player, but unless the Suns want to blow everything up, Little and a first-round pick (or both). always seemed like a good option to try: getting a player who can win right now without giving up a key part of the rotation.
