Stephen Curry has landed a new scripted project as the basketball superstar continues his rise as a Hollywood playmaker.
Curry's producers Unanimous Media and David Henry's Cedar Hill are developing a basketball-focused comedy feature trick shot. The film, which will be written by Jay Longino, does not yet have a director. Uncle Drew (2018) and skip trace (2016).
trick shot The main character of this work is a junior high school student who is not good at basketball, but due to an accident, he suddenly becomes unable to miss a shot. His newfound talent with hoops makes him an unlikely NBA rookie and quickly becomes an essential member of his favorite team.
Producers include Curry and Erick Peyton of Unanimous Media, David Henry and James Henry of Cedar Hill, and Ben Everard of Everard Entertainment. Longino and Unanimous' Brian Testro Ivey will serve as executive producers.
Curry is a four-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors and is widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters in the sport. Curry is involved in a number of Hollywood projects, including his upcoming Peacock mockumentary series. David Henry got his start as a child actor on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place She stars opposite Selena Gomez and will reprise her role in the new spin-off show.
