NHL fans can help decide on a new name for the former Arizona Coyotes team, which recently relocated to Utah, according to the team's new owner, Ryan Smith.
Smith I posted the survey link on Twitter (X) On Wednesday evening, 20 team names will be displayed for fans to choose from with four priority votes.
“Utah's NHL team is for the community and will be named with the help of the community,” the survey link reads.
“Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) has partnered with Qualtrics, a leading provider of feedback and experience management, and Doubleday & Cartwright, a highly regarded creative consulting and design studio, to enable fans to vote on names. We created a multi-step branding process.
The survey link also states that in 2024, the team will “wear jerseys displaying UTAH in their first year.”
The first round of voting will be open from Wednesday, May 8th until Wednesday, May 22nd.
